Elias Haslanger is one of Austin’s most respected jazz musicians – a tenor saxophonist known for his warm tone, expressive phrasing, and deep roots in the tradition of classic jazz. A longtime leader of the Elias Haslanger Quartet, he’s built a reputation for performances that are both technically masterful and effortlessly engaging.
Drawing inspiration from legends like Dexter Gordon and Stanley Turrentine, Elias brings a timeless sound to life with a distinctly Austin feel – accessible, soulful, and full of swing. His sets move easily between straight-ahead jazz, bluesy grooves, and moments of improvisation that keep audiences leaning in.
